Welcome to this week’s new releases, featuring brand new electronic, ambient, classical and more shipping out from the Kudos office.
Electronic
Gacha Bakradze combines electro, IDM & breakbeats on a new, UK-only release on Die Orakel. Taking things darker, Bukez Finezt land on Deep Medi with three powerful, sub-rattling jams for the bass heads.
Next up, Angel D’Lite makes her Banoffee Pies debut with hard hitting, high octane EP titled ‘Dolphins Have Sex For Pleasure’. Midnight Tendencies brings us our solitary 7″ this week, the Melbourne producer mixing dubwise rhythms and heavenly melodies on Butter Sessions.
There’s also a 10″ from Simon Diaz on Wonderwheel, remixing a Venezuelan folk classic. Rounding off the electronic offerings, Wah Wah 45s present the second single from the U.K. ‘s very own Afrobeat Ambassador, Dele Sosimi, and London based DJ and producer, Medlar.
Ambient, Classical
Andrew Wasylyk teams up with Scottish poet Liz Lochhead for this new collection of five vocal and piano pieces. Stranded on the Isle of Mull by storms at the start of 2020 this album slots nicely between his Scottish Album of the Year nominated The Paralian and his forthcoming new one on Athens of the North next month. Next up, Blackford Hill have some copies of a special 10″ for us this week, Simon Kirby, Tommy Perman & Rob St John enlisting some of the cream of Scotland’s music scene including King Creosote’s Kenny Anderson and Arab Strap’s Aidan Moffatt.
Alternative, Experimental
Albums come from Ai Aso on Ideologic Organ, this purple vinyl release also featuring label owner Stephen O’Malley and legendary Japanese rock outfit Boris. O’Malley also pops up as part of KTL with Peter Rehberg on a new one on Editions Mego this week.
