Levin Goes Lightly & The Members – Nightclubbing / The Model (Elaste Records)

Elaste Records is dedicated to the sound of the early 80s: New Wave, Electro Kraut, Punk, Proto-Disco, Industrial, Reggae, Coldwave.
Elaste is a cult magazine that was founded and published from 1980 to 1985 in 15 large-format issues by Thomas Elsner (graphic design, photography), Michael Reinboth (text, music) and Christian Wegner (photography). Thomas Elsner and Michael Reinboth (today, among other things, owners of Compost Records) have teamed up again out of love, profession and passion to revive this time and make it tangible. Motto: “Celebrate the early 80s”. So the guys know “from scratch” what they are releasing on Elaste Records. At their Elaste parties, too, Thomas Elsner and Michael Reinboth play the music punk, new wave, disco, kraut, coldwave, electro, industrial, everything they experienced as young guys in all shades and accompanied them with their magazine Elaste. Both were already DJs back then: Thomas Elsner at Casablanca (Hannover), Parkcafe (Munch) and Michael Reinboth at Basement (Hannover) and from 1982 to 1985 at P1 and Tanzlokal Größenwahn, Munich. ((Back then, the P1 was still a coolness and in its mixture of New Wave, Filmscene, and Munich underground meets hipster “the club” in Munich, nothing to compare with today’s P1.)
A thick “Best Of Elaste” book is planned for next year.
