Welcome to this week’s run down of new titles shipping from the Kudos warehouse.


Jazz

Gondwana Records continue their highly limited 7″ series with two new releases, the first featuring two cuts from Dwight Trible’s Inspirations album featuring label boss Matthew Halsall, and the second featuring two alternate versions of some Go Go Penguin favourites

Next up, we have new releases from Schema, the first being ”Moving Ahead” – the long-awaited new work by Gerardo Frisina, a double LP worth of new material that gathers together the various sounds that have characterised his entire production. Secondly we have a stunning jazz compilation from Schema titled ‘Freedom Jazz Dance Book II’.


Disco, Funk

7″ gems this week include a hot quartet from Athens of the North doing what they do best, they drop four of the rarest, grooviest deepfunk and boogie tracks you’ll ever be likely to hear. As always these fly off the shelves so please order quick on these ones too! Grab: E.S. Funk – Funny Feeling, Leval – Our Love, Akira Freeze – Tell Me Baby and The Leaders – (It’s A) Rat Race.

Next up, we have a reissue of Calibro 35’s highly sought-after debut on Record Kicks. Rounding off the disco offerings we have Snips with some hip-hop edits on his Barbershop imprint.


Electronic/Dance

Legowelt spends time in the vaults of the Swiss Museum of Electronic Music Instruments getting busy with some rare vintage synths for OUS. Electronic 12″s this week see Angel D’Lite with the ‘ardkore slammer Dolphins Have Sex For Pleasure on Banoffee Pies , and The Dining Rooms bring a Trip-Hop album to Schema.


Soul/R&B, Rock

Steve Maxwell Von Braund‘s Aus-rock classic Return to Monster Planet available for general distribution after their Record Store Day announcement. The Yorkshire Film & TV Orchestra land on ATA Records and Alex Puddu releases a two track R&B single with Schema.
