Algebra Records head and multidisciplinary artist Casually Here (Nic Nell) self-releases his second solo album Possible Worlds which also comes in a clear limited edition vinyl. Belgian Kristof “(DJ) 4T4” Michiels has been around for a while, but Union Escapade is only his second album under this name.
U-TRAX presents some hi-energy old school electro and bass from Los Angeles turntablist and producer Nuklear Prophet, who follows up his recent EP on U-TRAX with the full-length album Prophecies 11:21. Fuelled on pizza and the spirit of dance music, Chef Sam O.B. has lovingly cooked up four courses for our aural connoisseurs to enjoy: Just A Slice. Jazz-beats find synergy with neo-classical sampling, concepts of modern history, obscuring harmonies and machine-based improvisation on On-Ly‘s Yurodivy.
Lance Ferguson is back for a killer follow-up 7″ to his second volume of classic re-works and re-imaginings, Rare Groove Spectrum Vol. 2. The Vicious Seeds from St. Petersburg have been putting out 45s with their blend of raw cinematic grooves and deep funk instrumentals for a while, here they introduce us to vibraphonist Pavel Chiznik, who adds his midas touch to the group’s well seasoned rhythm section. Also on 45, we have a classic LA Funk/Soul double-sider from Bro. Byron.
Soul Supreme‘s new 45 takes on A Tribe Called Quest‘s Award Tour / Bonita Applebum, while he stays true to their sampling origins by Weldon Irvine, RAMP, Milt Jackson, and Rotary Connection. Helsinki quartet OK:KO releases their third album Liesu with We Jazz Records. Israeli saxophonist and producer Jacob Gorensteyn releases his album Wooden House, recommended for any Herbie Hancock or The Apples fans.
Six previously unreleased live studio tracks recorded in January and August of 1970 by The Keith Tippett Group are released on CD and Digi for the first time. GODTET wipe the slate clean and provide us with a wholly new sound on Meditations & Suite.
Cosmic jazz, Psychadelic Funk, bittersweet Soul, Latin fusionette and a healthy amount of arp & moog swirls all combine on this debut from Falk & Klou. With this new set, Rocafort Records digs deep into the vaults of the fabled Colombian label Discos Fuentes to bring you six vintage tropical sound system bangers in the cumbia genre. Following the reissue of the self-titled debut by Tülay German & François Rabbath in 2021, Zehra present the second and final part of their Tülay German reissues: Homage to Nazım Hikmet (1982).
