Wah Wah 45s are proud to present the return of a unique collaboration between the U.K. ‘s very own Afrobeat Ambassador, Dele Sosimi, and a producer who’s been at the forefront of the South London electronic music scene for over a decade now, Medlar on the State of Play EP. Mutant Joe unveils his debut release for Evar, Wrong Way Out, an EP that twists rap, electro and breaks out of shape with cool malice.
Introducing Bristol-based label Dummy Hand; the latest transmission from Noods Radio. Standing as a separate entity but driven by the same subversive, independent ethos of the station, Dummy Hand is an outlet for music from the outer fringes of the dance oor. Dummy Hand’s inaugural release, Transient Communications comes from Vancouver-based dj_2button. Top dog at Exotic Robotics (alongside fellow sports-wear aficionado Sports Casual), Patrick Conway finally makes his debut on the label with Vertical Society EP. Ethno Service, a moniker for two electronic musicians based in Prague, are here with their debut long-player NMA. Released via LBD Sounds tape series, it comprises six masterfully crafted original compositions and a couple of remixes.
Freestyle comes with it again – presenting the first officially licensed reissue for a previously white label-only slice of fantastic 1982 UK boogie funk, featuring the vocal talents of a then 19 year-old Caron Wheeler! Tramp provide a new 45 from deep-funk pioneer Lucky Brown, recorded during the Mystery Road sessions.
An absolutely legendary album from Lebanon by Issam Hajali‘s group Ferkat Al Ard, Oghneya stands out as one of the great musical gems of the Arab world.
After an almost two year hiatus, Letherette is back with Brown Lounge Volume 6. Since the 2020 release of Mander House Volume 2, BL6 sees Letherette return to it’s hip hop routes.
