Jalapeño Records welcome back Soopasoul for a funky 7” titled ‘If It Ain’t Funky Back It Up’, Funk Embassy Records have put together a compilation of funk, soul, disco and jazz from the 1970-80s Soviet Estonia era, Additional soul 7”s this week come from Philophon.
Electronic
On 12” this week we have Negative Space [ma]’s latest release from label mainstay unperson. ‘Struggles In Conjuring EP’ also features a remix from man-of-the-moment DJ Python.Next up from Mark’s Music, we have an LP made to be listened to alongside novel ‘The Caterpillar Club’. Columbo release an ambient techno album from TRONIQ.
Hip-hop, RnB
Hip-hop LPs this week include ”Meraki”, the first full-length album by LESKY with contributions from FloFilz, Phlocalyst, Turt (Summers Sons) and others. Jakarta Records have a 14 track hip-hop album from multi-disciplinary artist Leon Giseke. We also have soul single from Lynda Dawn on Extra Soul Perception.
Classical
Rounding off this week’s releases, Sähkö Recordings release the solo project of Matthew Bourne, titled ‘Désinances’ on 12″.
