Welcome to this week’s run down of physical releases shipping from the Kudos warehouse.
Electronic
Linkwood has been busy lately, but he returns to Athens of the North with 14 new lo-fi electro-tinged tracks on this new album. Speed Dealer Moms, the side project of Aaron Funk, John Frusciante and Chris McDonald, make their long awaited return to EVAR Records with three powerful IDM tracks. Finally arriving on double vinyl is Caterina Barbieri’s Fantas Variations, eight reworks of a track from her critically acclaimed 2019 release Ecstatic Computation by the likes of Kali Malone and Kara-Lis Coverdale amongst others.
There’s also 12″s from Laughing Ears on Hemlock, Kaiju on Deep Medi and Jet Hammer on Bodies in Motion to get your ears round this week. Not to mention new titles from Lovemonk, Bastard Jazz and Honest Electronics.
Soul
First up, we have the CD and regular LP version of Jeb Loy Nicholls Timmion album from last week. We also have a 4 track soul jazz album from Shamek Farrah & Folks on Jazz Room Records. Tramp have provided us with two new singles available on 7″ from Amazin Five and The Royal Dees.
Jazz, Hiphop, Alternative
Further albums include Jason Nazary with an album of homemade improvised electronic pieces on We Jazz, Glass Beams on Research and Snips on Barbershop.
Finally, we have two experimental albums from Austrian label Editions Mego.
