Kudos New Releases 25.09.2020

Welcome to this week’s run down of new titles shipping from the Kudos warehouse.

Jazz

A couple of albums on a jazz tip, AINON land on WeJazz with a nice spiritual jazz release in a lovely tip-on sleeve, and Plug Seven collect the cream of Australias exciting jazz scene on this Seven Wonders compilation, featuring contributions from WVR BVBY, GODTET, Daniel Merriweather and Barney McAll.

Classical

On the albums front we welcome 99 Chants to Kudos, they kick off with the mesmerising minimalist Lecture for Jo Kondo by Bunita Marcus, which features a hypnotic deconstruction by label owner David August on the B-side. Highest possible recommendation on this one, a must for anyone with an interest in avant-garde modern composition. Rounding off the classical offerings we have a new one from Anna Von Hausswolff on Ash International.

Electronic/Dance

12″s sees Kirk DeGiorgio land on the ever reliable Midnight Shift with his D&B-influenced Templefield project, featuring a remix from none other than Anthony Child aka Surgeon. There’s also releases from Agogo, Nang and Picnic Records, all well worth checking out this week.

KMRU brings a 6 track electronic album to Editions Mego, and dance music heavyweights Object Blue & TSVI collaborate for a new release on Nervous Horizon titled Hyperaesthesia.

Alternative / Punk

We also have album releases from Geoffrey Burton (a guitarist who’s career has seen him play guitar with the likes of Iggy Pop, Arno, Alain Bashung, to name but a few) on Gong Ear. Followed by a two track experimental album from strom/morts on The Taperoom

Reggae, Hip Hop

Reggae on Top drop a killer Barry Isaac production featuring Winston Rose on 10”, and RX:TX from a killer hip-hop 7” from .čunfa
