Gondwana Records
Gondwana Records have been busy repressing some of our favourite titles from Matthew Halsall, Portico Quartet and Hania Rani, these won’t stick around for long so act quick!
Electronic
On the albums front we’ve got some really interesting new titles shipping, as we welcome Stroboscopic Artefacts to the Kudos roster – the first release we’re distributing is an exhilirating album of diverse, techno-laden soundscapes from Bangkok based artist Wanton Witch. Definitely one not to miss. We also have a new album from the late Peter Zinovieff – sadly Peter passed away earlier this year, but this collection of subtly manipulated hydrophone recordings of blue whales in the South Pacific stands as a fascinating tribute and assures the legacy of a true pioneer of experimental electronic music. On 12″ we have a 4 track electro EP from Nullptr on CPU Records.
Soul
First up we have a retro soul album from ATA Records – The Library Archive, Vol 2 is available now on DC/LP/Digital. DO RIGHT! MUSIC have also provided us with a funky album from The Luvmenauts, rounding off this week’s soul selection we also have a 2 track 7″ from Bastard Jazz.
Hip-hop, Latin, Jazz
Rounding off this week’s releases, we have new titles from Boot Records, APOLLO SOUND and Colour Club Records to wrap your ears around.
