The Polish trio presents their long-awaited debut album.
Bursting with creativity, the Playgrounds LP showcases the band’s refusal to fit into simple categorisations, taking equally from jazz, global folk, electronic and ambient music. With youthful eagerness it jumps from infectious rhythms, through virtuosic solos, into contemplative spaces, aided by an unusual combination of instruments: vibraphone, double bass and percussion. This setup is used to its fullest extent through imaginative arrangements and production, with the addition of alto saxophone on the penultimate track, “Szapiro” – featuring Kuba Więcek, known for his work with the band HOSHII.
2025 marks the group’s first official release, but they’ve managed to make a name for themselves in the few years prior – performing in Poland and abroad, pulling listeners in with their unique, captivating sounds. Collecting material written in the band members’ formative years, Playgrounds LP is a document of navigating uncertain times and making sense of one’s self – but also of finding shared joy and rekindled curiosity through play.
