It’s another StabUdown Productions belter from Cleveland’s finest, James A Donadio
(or ‘Jimmy’ to his adoring friends)! This is the return of a Diagonal Records mainstay.
Jimmy is one of the earliest and most cherished additions to the label’s sprawling and
dysfunctional family.
This LP is a little different. It’s the culmination of 12 months working with a reappraised
creative ethos. Throughout the process, Jimmy’s interest in Krishna Consciousness &
Dharma Yoga was deepening. Both went on to become deeply infused in this music. It’s
a body of work completely uninformed by the music of others.
The “Tinge of Ascension” LP is made up of nine tracks rich in a rhythmic sensibility.
All tracks are ethereal in nature. Tempos are varied and rendered irrelevant. Jimmy’s
masterful use of sampling is on display as ever.
