2022 was a major milestone for Kudos as we reached our 30th Birthday. And as the year draws to a close, the Kudos team wishes to thank all our label and retail partners that have kept us so busy not just this year but over the last three decades.
This year alone we released nearly 2,500 individual products from over 350 independent record labels. We have made almost 150,000 deliveries to digital services and shipped over 260,000 units of physical merchandise. We will have also dispatched around 20,000 direct-to-fan orders from our warehouse on behalf of labels using our fulfilment services.
Among all the musical highlights we saw artists nominated for AIM Awards – Children of Zeus for both UK Independent Breakthrough and Best Independent Album, and Overmono for Best Independent Track – and we have been delighted to see the artists and labels we work with recognised in major music publications, including Pitchfork, RA, The Vinyl Factory, Clash, FADER, DJ Mag, The Guardian, Noisey, Bandcamp & BBC. We’ve also helped to secure spots in some of the world’s best and biggest playlists, such as New Music Friday, Altar, Portal, State of Jazz, Jazz UK, Jazz-Funk, Techno Bunker, Techno State, Ambiente, Soultronic, Global Groove, Retro Soul, Orbit & many more, with our artists often featuring as cover stars.
